George Colligan Trio with Boris Kozlov and Rudy Royston

“George Colligan has been enjoying an increasingly visible profile and continually takes giant leaps forward.” – JazzTimes

With a resume as long and varied as George Colligan’s, it comes as little surprise that his list of associates includes some of the finest players working in the jazz idiom. Two such players, Rudy Royston and Boris Kozlov, both in-demand New York City based players will be joining him for this performance. Royston has drummed with a long list of greats including: Bill Frisell, Dave Douglas, Don Byron, and Branford Marsalis, just to name a few. Kozlov, perhaps best known as the bassist, arranger and musical director of veritable NYC intuitions the Mingus Dynasty and Mingus Big Band (dream gigs for a jazz bassist!) has also played beside many greats like: Ravi Coltrane, Eddie Palmieri, Benny Golson, and James Moody. Expect to hear improvisation on a very high level from this all-star trio.
